Spring Wedding at Lake Tegernsee

Lake Tegernsee is one of the most sought after wedding destinations in Bavaria. The lake, the surrounding mountains and the different towns along the shoreline offer a variety of locations for a wedding day, all within a short distance of one another.

Anna and Daniel chose to celebrate their wedding here on a sunny day in April.

The day began with Anna getting ready in Bad Wiessee before meeting Daniel for their first look by the lake. From there, we boarded one of the passenger boats across Lake Tegernsee. As Anna and Daniel stepped on board, they were welcomed with spontaneous applause from the other passengers.

After arriving in Rottach-Egern, we walked along the lakeshore for a few photographs before making our way to St. Laurentius Church.

Following the ceremony, Anna and Daniel drove to Freihaus Brenner in a beautifully restored vintage Mercedes. The afternoon began with congratulations and a champagne tower before family and friends enjoyed the rest of the celebration together.

The overall design was timeless, with white peonies, a neutral colour palette and carefully chosen details. The spring sunshine and the snow still covering the mountain peaks completed the setting throughout the day.

One of the things I enjoy about photographing weddings at Lake Tegernsee is how close everything is. Travelling between Bad Wiessee, Rottach-Egern and Freihaus Brenner takes just a few minutes, allowing the day to unfold naturally without long transfers.

Thank you, Anna and Daniel, for such a wonderful day.
It was a pleasure to document your wedding at Lake Tegernsee.
